Introducing the "Bonbon Baton,” created in homage of my Dad, esteemed orchestra conductor, music educator, flutist, and beloved friend and guide to all who knew him.*
At the core of this creation lies a rich amalgamation of nut butters and bits, each representing a section in the symphony of flavor. Pistachio (piano?), hazelnut butter (violas?), walnut (bassoon?), pecans (French horn?), cashew butter (violins?), and baru nuts (cymbals?). But I say with assurance that coconut sugar plays the harp; Theobroma Cacao cello, double bass, and flute. (My Dad could surely know how to name each of the players better than I. And I believe if he were with us - writing with me this description as he had almost all on this site - he might have tastefully inserted an orchestral joke about the violin-viola drama).
The baton is a conduit through which the conductor channels the energy of sound. With each bite of the Bonbon Baton (or Baton Bonbon - totally different scansion!), one is transported to the realm of sensory delight, where flavors harmonize in perfect synchrony, creating a crescendo of gustatory bliss.
