Jamaican Sorrel Tea
Jamaican Sorrel Tea is a popular festive holiday beverage all over the Caribbean. This recipe is refreshing, perfect for entertaining, and a uniquely delicious way to imbibe powerful anti-inflammatory, immune-boosting medicinal herbs!
INGREDIENTS:
water
dried sorrel (hibiscus flowers)
grated fresh ginger
allspice berries
cloves
nutmeg
orange peel
sweetener of your choice
DIRECTIONS
Boil water in a saucepan.
Add in sorrel, ginger, berries, cloves, and orange peel.
Let mixture steep for about an hour in the pan.
Strain sorrel juice into a pitcher and sweeten to taste.
Serve over ice and garnish with orange and lime wedges.
